citron faire - update

I wish I could say that our winter break was nothing short of amazing but..... that would only describe the first part of our vacation - the second part, not so much. Christmas was wonderful, the kids and I spent afternoons making cookies, being crafty, evenings spent driving around looking at Christmas lights, it really was a spectacular holiday this year! The week after Christmas though we had some bad luck with various viruses settling into our home. It seemed every time we went out, we brought back a new illness which after 2 weeks of the kids and I being sick it was almost comical - like a bad episode of Punked. You name it, and the kids and I have probably had it. After more rounds of antibiotics that can be counted on one hand, and enough chicken noodle soup to feed a small army, I think the kids and I are slowly on the mend these days!

So, with all of the time I had spent indoors, I put my creative hat on and came up with a small collection of Valentines inspired products for the shop. I love this holiday - any excuse to create using excessive amounts of pinks and reds!

I plan on updating the shop tomorrow morning! I also created a mini scrapbook kit too called Paper Hearts, it's not an overly themed mini and kind of perfect for everyday photos (I'm going to  fill mine with photos of the kids). I'm hoping I can get a chance to work on it a bit more today. (I have Chase home sick with me today, maybe during naptime I can stow away to my craft room - fingers crossed!)

Happy creative - productive Wednesday to you! ~ Tara

Thank you everyone for joining Jessica and I for our Sweet November week and for all of your sweet comments! I will admit that it was kind of nice spending the weekend relaxing and making out my holiday to-do list! (I've be sharing that later on this week!)

What a cute giveaway!!
I really liked your autumn wreath post. I can't wait to make one myself!

Thanks for the chance to win! :)

I can hardly believe it, but I actually listed one of my cameras today too! It has already sold, and I know it's going to a good home, but oh how these little brownies make me smile! I have my collection of cameras up on a shelf just before the doors that lead into my craft room. The shelf though, was overflowing with vintage cameras and I had starting piling them on the small wooden table beneath. I like seeing them there as I pass by, but it was time to let a couple go!!

So, that was my weekend, mixed with family, a whole lot of cleaning, some note taking and a little reading. I have plans to find a Christmas tree this week (I gave away my old one yesterday) and I have a new sewing idea up my sleeve that I really would like to get started on at some point. - I'm thinking vintage doily's, machine sewing, pretty fabric and maybe some hand embroidering. Sounds lovely, doesn't it!

Have a wonderful night all!

Etsy ~ Citron Faire

Some of my favorite product photos! (I say it all the time, but I really love styling small products!)  I'm thinking about updating my little Etsy shop on Friday.... it seems like a good day and the excitement from the week should be winding itself down. ;)  I'm also thinking about creating a new section in the shop for just vintage finds.... We'll see if I can fit in another round of photos this week!

Ok, so I have my checklist for the evening - carving some pumpkins, making a chicken & broccoli casserole, and working a little more on Sweet November ~ it's almost here!

Thanks for stopping in today! ~ Tara

Peppermint GiveAway!

Good morning! What could be a better way to start off this week than with a giveaway? :) I had so much fun this weekend with the reopening my little shop, (thankyou to everyone for your purchases and sweet comments! I really do love creating ~ especially Christmas items!) I thought a Holiday Kit would be perfect to giveaway. Today's giveaway is one of my Peppermint December Journal kits!

Starting next month, I'll be doing little step-by-step tutorials on creating some of the pages for this journal. I've always wanted to create a December Journal but I didn't want the pressure of having to photograph and scrapbook everyday. I created this journal with that idea in mind, a 6x6 inch mini that I could fill whenever I found a free moment! {December might be the most wonderful time of year but it's also the busiest!}

To enter this pepperminty Holiday Giveaway just leave a comment at the end of this post! I'll choose a winner this Friday. Good luck and happy Monday everyone! ~ Tara

Etsy, part 2

Today was all about photos and music. I finished taking my photos this afternoon, did a little scrapbooking and found a new favorite song. I'd say that makes for a pretty spectacular day! Other than Etsy I'm working on the next Everyday Challenge for the Crate Paper blog. This month's challenge topic will be a first for me so it's kind of special. My challenge post will go up on Monday if you happen to feel like scrapbooking next week. ;)

here's a few more photos for Etsy. I really love Christmas colors, they're so pretty and girly. It's such a fun change from all the orange and black we had for Halloween just a couple of weeks ago!

{I made another little page for my December journal using one of the kits. I'm on a roll!}

and I found this song, that I think is so amazing! I must be late finding this song so it may not be new to you but I put it on repeat tonight and edited all of my photos to it! It's my new fav work song.

Time for some peppermint tea and a little menu planning for next Thursday! good night!

Etsy preview

it's late but I wanted to post some of the photos from today! I still have 2 full kits to photograph tomorrow but I am almost ready! I'm going to say that I will be re-opening the shop this Saturday morning. Like most of the kits I've put together I included a few vintage items I've been saving for the right project. I even pulled out this old box of vintage type writer paper to create little tags for each product. I do love my sewing machine and typewriter. :)

~ onto the photos!

This last photo is part of a kit that I'll be photographing tomorrow. I already dove into the kit and starting playing with some of the pages.... just getting a head start on my own December mini!

So, I'll come back tomorrow and add a few more photos. I also want to put together a giveaway for Saturday.... something perfect for the holiday!

Yay Polly!! send your contact info to me, rosas07@msn.com, and a little happy package will be on it's way soon!

What are you doing this weekend? Any picnic plans? Day road-trips? Or are you like me, and have plans to clean your home all day? :) I have a loooong list of emails I need to return.... somedays it feels like I will never catch up with emails. A little at a time, that's my motto.

Oh and because it's Saturday, I thought I'd share this little project I did for my
Etsy shop. I made some little scrap kits, inspired by my Saturday Colo Combo posts. I'll add them to the shop this evening. :) How I love paint sample colors!! I only made 6 kits, 2 for each color combination. :)

Tomorrow, I am locking myself in my room and finishing deadlines. No computer, no phone calls, and hopefully no distractions or interruptions. Just scrapbooking and creating!

That's about it for me, happy Saturday and have a lovely weekend!
