Challenge #1: Birthday Vacation Wish

Is it finally time to this party started?!!

If the tiny birthday fairy came to visit and could grant you a Vacation wish, where would you wish to spend your vacation?

I actually have to split my answer into 2. If it were just Peter and I (and Grandma had the kiddo's) I'd wish to go back to Hawaii. Good food, unbelievable scenery and perfect weather. If it were a family vacation, Disneyland! It was the best family vacation we've done!!

Leave a comment for a chance to win!

  2. Wow...the VACA fairy...good question. I would love to visit Majorica, Spain and be absorbed into the culture...the music..the dancing...the food...I am getting excited just at the thought!!

  3. I am still in the mode of not being able to leave anywhere without my kids (give me few more years that might change :-)) so I would ask the fairy to take us somewhere warm (the cold winter is approaching) ... maybe on the Caribbean Islands, where we could just sit on a beach in warm sun, sip fruity drinks, and watch the kids playing in sand! We would need a spacious hotel room with a balcony that overlooks the restaurant with evening live music that we could enjoy from top... and view of the ocean would just be the bonus! ok, now you got me in the mood!

  4. I would love to visit the Med - Greece, Corfu, Istanbul, and then stop in Venice on the way home. Eat lots of fantastic food, drink the wines, and just absorb the culture!

  8. This sounds crazy, but at the moment I would choose South Korea. My hubby is there right now so I'd love to spend it with him. The second place would be in the mountains of Colorado. I love it there.

  9. Once upon a time, B.K. (Before Kids), I lived a few months in Greece. Even though that time is fading further and further back into the past, I know SOMEday I will return. So my ideal vacay, because this IS a fantasy, right? lol, would be to take the two of them with me, to Mykonos or Santorini or Crete, living in a cottage in some smaller beach village, sitting on the beach and walking through the olive groves I remember so well, with their particular quality of afternoon sunlight creating the most idyllic scene I fantasize about it years later ... sigh ...

For me it has to be Hawaii. We spent some magic moments there when we were first married. Now we are seniors and I would love to revisit those times. But I always love to visit my daughter in Gilbert, AZ.

  14. Mine is a split response too. I spent a year in Belgium as an exchange student. It is my home away from home and I always long to return. Last March I went to Uganda for 3 weeks for a mission trip. I left my heart there and I know I'll be back. I would love it if my kids and husband could see what I experienced in both of these beautiful countries. -Alisa

  15. Oh my gosh, because there is no way we could ever get away without the kids, I would have to say Disneyland! They are the perfect ages (4 & 6) and my aunt lives in southern CA and keeps inviting us out. The winters get really long here and I think I actually hear the ocean calling my name! {wink} And just a week of sunshine would be good for the soul!!

  41. Hubby and I started a road trip from Vancouver (Canada) to LA via the coast highway, and then were on our way to Las Vegas, to make our way back to BC via the Grand Canyon, and then Yellow Stone, but my cars transmission went in BARSTOW! Spent 9 days there! YIKES. I would LOVE to finish our road trip.
