this book is so incredibly lovely and inspiring. I'd love to see a step by step of how you come up with your color palettes. Are you inspired by the products? The photos? Do tell.

Thanks for the opportunity.

I love, love, love your kits, the details you add make all the difference! I would so love to win this fall/autumn journal, the colors are stunning and so warming.

I would love to see a video or two on how you pull together all the bits and bobs for one of your projects. (for instance do you just start pulling items out of your stash or do you gather inspiration first)
Other tutorials such as sewing techniques you use (settings, sewing foots, needles) in your layering; what is your process on gathering inspiration for a particular project; choosing color palettes; taking photos of your projects; your layering process and bringing it all together.

Thanks for the chance to win this stunning journal kit oxo

Beautiful kit!
I am with the crowd - art journal tutes, especially with layering and found objects. I love collecting little bits of vintage ephemera and other odds and ends, but I never know how to incorporate the goodies into my art journal.

PS What kind of sewing machine do you have? I had to retire my grandmas vintage Singer, she just can't handle it anymore. Any suggestions, there are so many options out there :)

Tara-your projects all this week have been absolutely stunning! The colors and textures are incredible, and are exactly how I imagine the fall season should be! To win a giveaway from you would be heaven! :D I always drool over the journals you have in your etsy shop, and one of these days (when I have some money! LOL!), I am going to get one! :D

A tutorial I would like to see is how you put together all your little journal books. How you break down the books for the journals bound by rings, and also how you put together your sewn-together books. (I hope that made sense :P) I always love looking at the pictures of these, and would love to know how you get them together! Thanks so much!

So happy you are back and doing well! Take care!

what a beautiful autumn book! as far as tutorials go i'd love to see something on layering bits and pieces and/or a tutorial on sewing over layers (without getting the needle stuck! :-P)

Anastasia said...

gorgeous!! id love a chance to win - i just love to see your layering techniques and more papercraft - so beautifu1!

Christina said...

I still think you should do video tutorials ... ;)

Knowing your objection to videos, lol, my second vote would be for hearing how you decide to assemble your kits. I find it useful to preassemble items when I'm plotting a project, so creating my own kits has been helpful, esp. for on-the-go creativity. But your kits are gorgeous; how do you do it?

Michelle Wooderson said...

Oh. My. I would LOVE to win this Fall book. I was hoping to purchase one from your Etsy shop. Hint Hint. I would love to see how you put together your little mini books and wonderfully layered tags. You are sooo very talented. Love all your stuff.

Tara, please, give me a tutorial on how to be a full time mom of two and find a time for scrapping!!! I know you have two cute kids as well so I am sure you have a secret on how to pull this all together. I am also a homeschooling mom so I get just a bit extra work coming from the classroom. Your work is so special and I love looking at it and get inspired :-)

I would love to see a tutorial on creating a small altered canvas, or a series of altered canvases. With your eye for lovely layers and words, your project would be amazing. I already have a small space on my office wall picked out for hanging my piece of art. Thank you for the chance to win such a lovely bunch of delightful goodies!

Oh my Tara! What a generous and gorgeous giveaway girl! You are going to make some lucky lady's day with this album!!
I'm torn with this one because all of your tutorials are so full of inspiration! I have already put together a couple of your vintage hankie albums for some gifts and am giddy because I just came across another vintage hankie this weekend in a box and can't wait to get started on that one!
But I am going to vote for more food tutorials! In the past I have pulled some of your recipes off of flicker, like your homemade chicken noodle soup...it is one of my family's faves! And my little girl and I have been living off your honeydew smoothies all summer and fall!! And your granola...oh my! We baked up 2 batches and packaged them up "oh so cute" to take to the church bake sale this past weekend. You never disappoint!! Thank you for sharing your beauty, inspiration, and recipes!!
I'm keeping my fingers & toes crossed! :) Have a lovely day, the sun is shining bright here today!!

Your creativity boggles my mind!
I'd love to read about your process, what inspires you, how you find or come up with your pieces, and what represents you.

As for tutorials....anything would please me. I'm at a beginner/novice level, so I love to sew aprons, unique tea towels, tunics. Anything fairly easy.

I like things to last through the years.

Wow wow wow, what a sweet giveaway!

I love tutorials which have nice photos of at least the main or difficult steps. I am looking through your tutorials and loving them all.

I like home decor ideas as well as gift or teacher appreciation tutorials too, now that I have school-aged children. I also like that your tutorials are simple enough for children to help out with some of the steps. :)

Hope that helps!
